SAR曾是 Kenworth 最早在澳大利亚设计和制造的卡车，也是1975年7月澳洲维多利亚的Bayswater的生产线上第一台下线的产品。SAR(Short-bonnet, Australian Right-hand drive) 是短引擎盖澳大利亚右侧驾驶 的缩写，设计目的是适用于炎热的内陆地区，并在澳洲法规下运输超长的挂车组合。
Kenworth 传奇SAR 限量制造，并在2021年布里斯班卡车秀上展示，庆祝Kenworth 在澳大利亚的50年。这台编号001的卡车单独命名为“金块之子”，也是纪念1984年发布的30台限量版“金块”卡车。一天内，Kenworth就卖出了750台限量版的SAR卡车。
这款“金块之子”模型也是限量750台。
